My ladylove Cleo Wade (@ignoreheroes) has officially taken off back to NY after coming in to support Closet for a Cause but the beauty didn’t skip town without one last fun night on the west coast! On Wednesday I popped into Alice+Olivia before work to be styled by Miss Wade for a party that night that the brand was hosting for the launch of their new shoe collection. Amidst taking in the beautiful shoes and great company, we even got our faces painted to add a little sparkle to our night. It was a great send-off and the event was a lovely start to the night…though I’m sad to have parted ways with my pal. Be sure to check out the upcoming shoe collections from Alice+Olivia…you’ll definitely find a few comfy, quirky party staples in the mix!

Goodbye NY

Hey kids. I’m back at work and I have to say, I LOVE my job! This week we’ve been shooting some pretty amazing stuff which I know you all with go crazy over.

I might be biased when I say this, but I’m willing to bet we have the most wild cast in Hollywood. It truly makes showing up for work everyday something I look forward to. Yesterday was slightly different however and maybe even just a little more special than most days since we had some visitors on set. Some wonderful fans of the good ol’ 90210. It’s so great when you get to meet the folks that are watching you and allow you to do what you (I) love.

I’ve only been back in LA for a week and I’m already itching to hit the streets of NY again and visit all my amazing friends out there. One of the most standout nights I had during my 6 week stay was my goodbye dinner at Sean Avery’s new Tribeca restaurant Tiny’s. He was kind enough to host my party of about 20 in the back room until we finally noticed the staff huddled by the bar waiting to go home… we were having so much fun, we didn’t notice we had literally closed the joint! The food was delicious, the drinks were ever-flowing and the amazing company reminded me that genuine people do exist. (Something I often forget living in LA) Everyone there brought endless unique talent, intellect and humor to the table making it a night full of laughter and inspiration…and certainly one I’ll never forget. My love goes out to all the folks I had to say ‘see ya later’ to that night, thank you for joining me at Tiny’s and I know you haven’t even had time to miss me yet but I’ll be back to visit next week! Haha Haven’t gotten my fill of NY yet!

Site Officiel "Back in LaLaLand"

I’m BACK! Back on the West Coast and I start shooting today!

Last night (to celebrate being back in my hood) my friends demanded that I go to PINK’S! You know, PINKS? The place that is famous for hot dogs!? It’s definitely worth checking out if you’ve never been to LA, but definitely a “miss” when it comes to tasting some of the fame! SKIP IT.

It’s weird to be back in the zip code that made me famous! At least a hot dog didn’t make me famous…or, at least…not yet. [wink]

I miss NY and all the great friends and special ones, too. But, the school bell rings and I’m off to class (…i mean, work!). This season is gonna be the best yet! If you’re lucky, I’ll be giving you some inside scoop into this season, so make sure you’re tuned in.

Also, I’ll have an update regarding SPREAD THE HEART later this week or next and you won’t want to miss it!

NY Ink

Last night I joined some friends for an event at the new Wooster Street Social Club, Ami James’ new tattoo parlor and setting for his new show, New York Ink. I was tagging along with the intention of flying under the radar but when a photographer approached asking if I would take a photo with Ami, I could not resist. As a tattoo lover for years (got my first at 15!) I’ve watched Miami Ink marathons marveling at the tattoo culture and badass energy in his shop. I always appreciate a cut throat businessman/woman who fights to rise to the top of their field whilst maintaining strong ethics and never doing so at the expense of others. Ami is beyond a talent and force in the industry, and not to mention, one damn fine man. It was my pleasure to meet him last night and fingers crossed I get an appointment with him at the shop today! Will document if I do… stay tuned…

Nylon Dinner

I was cordially invited to Nylon’s music issue dinner last night at the Mondrian Soho, hosted by Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine and Nylon editor-in-chief, Marvin Jarrett. The decor was simple and beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious and the company wasn’t too shabby at all. I’ve known Marvin for years now and Nylon has been one of my favorite mags since I was a teen so it was really special to be seated beside him and finally have a good chance to catch up. I’m also a HUGE fan of Florence and her music so it was a treat to meet her. Her laid-back energy and warm demeanor was a sweet surprise as I typically find musicians particularly intimidating! Also got a great hug from the talented Mr. Kellan Lutz who I rarely get to see since his straight shot to major stardom, his smile’s always a lovely one to see. Great night all around, thank you Nylon for having me! And thanks to Kelly Cutrone for putting it all together and being one of the most badass power players in the game!
